A speech so powerful and impactful that it moved millions even decades later to take action to make his dream a reality. He had a dream so BIG and outrageous that some thought it was impractical and totally impossible.

As discussed in last month’s previous blog, we encourage you to prepare for the infamous tax season before it arrives. ![]() I cannot believe that Labor Day weekend is here and that summer is officially gone! If you're thinking like me, I am still trying to adjust to the infamous Houston back-to-school traffic. A new school year has begun and many of us have started to take out our Fall 2016 decorations or impatiently waiting for that seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte. As we begin to enjoy the shifting of the seasons or try to end this summer with a big bang at your Labor Day weekend event, let’s recall that we still have 3 months left of 2016 to reach our financial goals! Yes, only 3 months until we say Hola to 2017! So let’s go ahead and do some financial house cleaning to keep us on track. ![]() Can you believe that the new school year is just around the corner?! I certainly can’t! As 2016 ends in about 4 months our extra expenses most likely do not, especially with the holidays approaching, so what can we do now to save on these costs? We have identified some areas where you can save some money and stay in your family’s budget for this upcoming school year! ![]() “What estate plan? I’m too broke to have an estate plan”, you may be thinking. If you work or have children or assets, you have an estate plan. Either you have already developed one on your own or, by default you have decided to let the courts plan it for you in the event of your untimely departure. Why not be proactive and decide for yourself what will happen to your assets. It will also relieve the burden off the courts and especially your family of trying to figure out your wishes. ![]() I think we can all agree that if asked, everyone wants to be successful. Success might look differently to different people but at the end of the day we all want to succeed. Whether it’s on our job, in school, in a relationship, in sports, in business, in physical fitness, in ministry, in politics, in our finances, in court, you name it. Ultimately, if you ask anyone if they want to be successful, without even stopping to think about it the answer is a resounding, “Yes”! |
